Liddy loves pretty things, sparkly things, frilly things, you name it. And she loves the fancy nancy series of books. Friday I went on a field trip with her to HeeHaw's (a farm/cornmaze/pumpkin patch extravaganza) and she picked a pumpkin. As soon as we got home she wanted to paint it. I don't know if I have paint and if I do I have no idea in which box I should dig, so she settled for markers. Here's how it went:
Liddy: Mom, I want you to draw beautiful things on my pumpkin. All beautiful things. First, draw some flowers. Beautiful mom! Now draw a princess with a crown. I love it! Okay, a necklace right here...a ring...Now draw a chandelier!
Me: Liddy, you really want a chandelier on your pumpkin?
Liddy: No mom, just a picture of a chandelier.
Duh.
